Located in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield, our play-based programs for children ages 2 to 5 spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning, while building social skills through collaborative experiences. Our child-led, emergent curriculum invites children to explore their interests, guiding their learning journey in a natural and engaging way. At GHCNS, children are encouraged to express themselves and build confidence in a safe, inclusive, and non-sectarian environment. We are committed to cultivating a sense of community, kindness, and a lifelong passion for learning in every child we serve.

Greenfield Hill Church Nursery School (GHCNS) is dedicated to providing a nurturing physical and emotional environment that fosters independence, creativity, and a deep respect for each individual's unique qualities—children, staff, and families alike. Outdoor Play
“There's no such thing as bad weather,only unsuitable clothing”
At GHCNS, outdoor time is an essential part of every day and a natural extension of our classroom learning. Rain, snow, wind, or sunshine—children embrace the elements and explore our beautiful playground, turning every season into an opportunity for discovery. With appropriate clothing, they can play, learn, and grow comfortably in all kinds of weather, building confidence, social skills, physical strength, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world through hands-on, play-based experiences.
Yoga and Music
At GHCNS, music and movement are joyful parts of our learning experience. While music is woven into each class’s daily routine, children also enjoy bi-monthly Music sessions with Dierdre, where they sing, dance, and explore rhythm together. In addition, we have monthly yoga sessions with Missy from Deep Play For Kids, where children and teachers are guided through playful movement, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities—helping to nurture both body and mind in a fun, engaging way.
